CALL TO ACTION

WRITE TO YOUR COUNCIL MEMBER NOT TO CHANGE THE OFFICAL PLAN
ATTEND COUNCIL MEETING August 27, 2018

By working together we can try to stop the pit.

Please contact us via or send a message to us on Facebook.

If the quarry does proceed, we are looking at some shocking projections:

  • Pit Life: 50-60 years
  • Operating Days: 6 days a week
  • Wildlife Removal: 4% of the Pretty River Woodlands
  • The proposed quarry could also cause harm to the Bobolink, a bird on the Endangered Species list.
  • Re-zoned Area: 2,700, 000 tonnes of rock (150,000 below the water table)

Please remember to spread the word with your friends and neighbours. And if you are interested in getting a lawn sign, let us know.
